Who we are
UtilityAtlas operates useutilityatlas.com, a collection of free word tools and calculators. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, the data controller is UtilityAtlas.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@useutilityatlas.com. Postal address: Rikou 8, Limassol 4532, Cyprus.
What we do not collect
Every calculator and word tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser. Text you paste, numbers you enter, and results you generate are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never logged. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details anywhere on the site.
What we do collect
If you accept cookies via our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how the site performs. This collects your approximate location (IP-anonymised), device and browser type, referring website, pages visited, and time on page. We use it in aggregate to decide what to build and fix. We never attempt to identify individual visitors.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for a short period and are not used for analytics or marketing.
If you decline, Google's tags still load but run with storage denied under Google Consent Mode: no analytics or advertising cookies are written, you are not identified across sites, and any ads shown are non-personalised — selected from the page you are reading rather than from a profile of you.
Advertising and third-party cookies
This site is supported by advertising. Once advertising is active, the following applies to visitors who have accepted cookies. If you have not accepted, ads are served without advertising cookies and are not personalised.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices, or for European users at youronlinechoices.eu.
- More detail on how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available in Google's partner-sites policy and advertising technologies notice.
Cookies and your consent
We set no non-essential cookies until you choose “Accept” on the consent banner. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so we do not have to ask again. Declining leaves the site fully functional — every tool works without cookies.
You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Legal basis for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics and advertising cookies, and on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for the minimal server logging required to keep the site secure and available.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with comparable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction or erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Because we do not operate accounts and do not store the content you enter into our tools, in most cases we hold no personal data about you beyond anonymised analytics. Email us and we will confirm what, if anything, exists and act on your request within 30 days.
California privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, and opt out by contacting us at the address above; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Data retention and transfers
Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period configured on our property, after which it is deleted automatically. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Our analytics and advertising providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the services it relies on change. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
